In every case, they handle the smart contract development for us, and in many cases, they also support the marketing side, bringing security, visibility, and investor reach.

You’ll find all kinds of launchpads: different levels of visibility, fees, payment methods, requirements, and more. Below, I’ll show you the best options on the Ethereum network and their key features.

Using an NFT launchpad comes with clear upsides and trade-offs. Let’s break them down before moving on.

1. OPENSEA LAUNCHPAD NFT ETHEREUM

Opensea is the go-to marketplace for Ethereum. It has been a benchmark in the NFT space for years and the launch point for countless NFT.

On top of that, they also have their own launchpad where you can mint your NFT collection on Ethereum, a place where many of the biggest projects launch.

Keep in mind that this is open to every user, but Opensea will only feature some standout mints on its “Drops” page, just as it will share some of them on its social channels.

If we land this kind of deal with Opensea, we gain major visibility, authority, and public credibility. The catch is that it is hard, since they only accept the strongest projects.

If we do not get it, we will not have as much visibility, but we will still be minting in a secure place, at a fairly high price.

OPENSEA LAUNCHPAD FEES

Right now, Opensea takes a 10% fee on our mint. That means for every NFT minted, we receive 90% of the total.

We also need to factor in the deploy cost for the smart contract (gas fee). This depends on the type of option we choose: around 500$ or around 50$.

The upside is clear: they can give us a lot of visibility and credibility with investors, since they may share us on social media, host a Twitter Space with us, and more.

That said, its importance and influence are still lower than on Solana, and therefore lower than OpenSea.

In this case, they do charge a fee: 2.5%. We also need to pay the deploy fees for our collection on the Blockchain.

They offer several useful features, and it is an option worth considering. That said, we will not get extra visibility or marketing support like we do in other cases.

5. FOUNDATION ETHEREUM LAUNCHPAD

Foundation.app is a completely different kind of launchpad NFT, and a unique one on Ethereum. It is a Marketplace for digital art, where artists publish their work and collectors buy it.

Inside its Marketplace, it also has its own Launchpad, where you can create individual NFT or launch a drop for your collection.

These are usually much smaller collections with a different style than what you may be used to. The mint also tends to run much longer, with lower sales volume.
