HOW TO OBTAIN NFT Solana HASH LIST IN 3 STEPS

If you have or want to create your NFT collectionyou will need the NFT Hash List of your Collection to list it in Marketplaces, have channels reserved for Holders, etc. You may also have heard of Hash Lists with these names: Hashlist, Mint List or Mint Hash List.

HOW TO GET HASH LIST NFT

Let's get to the important part, how can we obtain the hash list of an NFT collection step by step.

1. OBTAIN NFT ACCOUNT ID

We will need the id of our NFT collection, which we call "account id", to get the hash list from it.

To find it, our first step will be to have the address or id of any NFT that belongs to the collection of which we want the mint list.

NFT ADDRESS

To get the address of a NFT we have 2 simple options, you can use the one you prefer.

Option 1, get it in your wallet: access your wallet where you hide the NFT and go to the NFT view. At the top right, you will see 3 points that you must click and then click on "view in solscan".

Option 2, get it on Magic Eden: access an NFT of your collection on Magic Eden (also applies to other marketplaces), scroll down and you will see the "details" section. Once there, click on the solscan logo where it says "mint address".

ACCOUNT ADDRESS

Once we are in solscan, we will see our NFT and several data about it. At this point, we must click on the dropdown of "creators", where we will see at least two addresses; at least one will have 0% and the rest will be distributed 100%. We must click on the first address that has 0%.

This address we have clicked on is the address of the NFT collection account. It will open its tab and we must copy this id to continue to step 2.

2. OBTAIN HASH LIST

Once we have copied the account id it is time to get the hash list from it. To do this we go to our tool "Hash List NFT Solana". You can access it in this link: https://tools.smithii.io/hashlist/Solana

After logging in, simply paste the account id into the box that says "Creator Address" and click on the "Get Hash List" button .

From there we wait for the tool to do its job.

3. EXPORT HASH LIST AND USE IT

When the tool has finished getting the hash list we will have the option to copy it or export it to a json file. To export it just click on the "export" button.

And that's it; you have your hash list for whatever you need! If you lose it you can repeat the process and get it again, so you have nothing to worry about.

Of course we can't forget about theory, so let's take a closer look at the hash list concept and its use within the NFT sector.

WHAT IS A HASH

A hash is an identifier composed of letters and numbers of a certain length representing a data set (documents, images, etc.).

This hash is generated from a "hash function", i.e., a mathematical algorithm that transforms the data set into this identifier.

WHAT DOES HASH MEAN IN NFT

Regarding the hash concept within the NFTs, the hash is the identifying code of a token, a transaction, or an NFT. This code on Solana is composed of letters and numbers.

We can use the hash in a blockchain explorer such as solscan to search its information.

WHAT DOES MINT LIST NFT MEAN

Therefore, a hash list or mint list of NFTs is a list of identifiers of the mint transaction of a collection. We have to keep in mind that the hash list will only be composed of the NFTs already minted from our collection, even if the total supply of the collection is larger.
