HOW TO MAKE A TOKEN IMMUTABLE ON SOLANA
If you want your token to look safer to potential buyers, you should make the Token immutable on Solana. In this post, we’ll show you how to do it in just 1 minute without writing any code.
If you prefer the video version, this is for you:
WHAT AN IMMUTABLE SPL TOKEN IS
When we talk about an Immutable Token Solana, it means the token metadata cannot be changed. Metadata includes details such as the name, symbol, description, and image.
That means having an Immutable SPL Token helps build trust with your investors.
To make a Solana Token immutable, you need to use the wallet that created the token (Authority).
IMMUTABLE TOKEN SOLANA STEP BY STEP
Let’s get straight into the step-by-step process to make an Immutable SPL Token without coding on Solana. We’ll use our dApp called Make Token Immutable, where you’ll see this panel:

- Open Make Token Immutable (https://tools.smithii.io/make-token-immutable/solana)
- Connect your wallet so you can use the software
- Select the Token from your wallet (remember, you must hold the token authority)
- Click Make Token Immutable and confirm the transaction (0.1 SOL)
- Wait 1 minute.
Keep in mind that you’ll need to do this with the wallet that holds authority over your token.
Once this is done, we won’t be able to modify the metadata of the SPL Token, which is a positive signal for investors in our project.
Here we explain cómo crear un Token en Solana desde cero.
