WHAT IS A NFT LAUNCHPAD?
A launchpad is a platform that handles the minting of NFT collections. In plain terms, it’s a website that manages NFT sales for other projects in exchange for a commission.
There’s no question that launchpad are a key solution for NFT creators. Not only because they save us the development work behind the mint, but also because they usually provide visibility, exposure, and security guarantees for investors.

1. MAGIC EDEN LAUNCHPAD
Magic Eden is the go-to Solana marketplace. It is where NFT on SOL get the most attention, and its launchpad is, of course, the most prestigious and well-known across the entire Blockchain.
Magic Eden’s launchpad has featured hundreds of projects, including many of the most iconic NFT collections on Solana.
Magic Eden Launchpad gives us unmatched marketing reach. Beyond that, it also gives us authority, prestige, and a security guarantee that no other launchpad on Solana can match right now.
Of course, it also has its downsides. Getting accepted is fairly difficult, you’ll need to pass several screening steps, they send the funds one week after the mint to an exchange with KYC, and they also charge a pretty high fee (10% of the mint).
Here we explain cómo mintear en Magic Eden Launchpad.

2. TAIYO ROBOTICS LAUNCHPAD
If there is one launchpad that is comparable to Magic Eden in terms of importance on Solana, it has to be Taiyo Robotics Launchpad.
Despite its ups and downs, its launchpad is still the trusted place where a huge number of NFT projects choose to mint. They have also managed to innovate with features like their mint Raffles.
Taiyo Robotics’ launchpad gives you major visibility with investors, plus authority and credibility. On top of that, its Raffle mint system can help you raise more funds than a “traditional” mint.
It has a slightly lower fee than Magic Eden, and they will also transfer the funds directly to you, without needing to go through a KYC exchange. That said, they only launch NFT collections with strong numbers and real communities behind them.

3. ELIXIR LAUNCHPAD (OVOLS)
Elixir is a launchpad and Marketplace for the NFT collection “Ovols“. It is newer than the options mentioned above, but it is still well worth considering if you want to mint your NFT on Solana.
Here, you get two options inside its own launchpad: Elixir Launchpad and CreatorX.
- Elixir Launchpad is the more premium route and works by application. Your launch is announced as an official partnership, and Elixir takes a commission from the mint. It is a strong option, slightly below the previous ones in terms of influence, but with plenty of potential.
- CreatorX is a “launchpad DIY” that lets any user run a mint without coding, similar to LaunchMyNFT. The only requirement is reserving a small number of NFTs for Ovols holders. In this case, you will not get the same level of marketing support.

4. METAPLEX CREATOR STUDIO & TENSOR
Metaplex is the protocol behind the majority of mints on Solana. On top of that, they have now launched Creator Studio, which lets any user create a custom mint without writing code.
With a 4.5% mint fee, it is a VERY compelling option given the advantages it brings:
- Bot protection
- Freeze during the mint
- Reveal
- Mandatory royalties
- Mint with tokens
This option becomes even more compelling if we can secure an agreement with Metaplex and Tensor (the second-largest marketplace on Solana).
They have partnered to promote featured mints across their channels when those mints are created in Metaplex Creator Studio. In practice, that gives us a ton of visibility and credibility, with a very low fee, plus trading advantages for our NFT on Tensor.
They have clearly become an almost unbeatable option. We will see how it evolves, but it could end up outperforming Magic Eden’s launchpad.

5. EXCHANGE.ART
With Exchange.art, we are looking at something completely different: an option built for artists. Exchange.art is a marketplace for digital art on SOL, basically the Foundation equivalent on the Solana Blockchain.
Beyond being a Marketplace, it also gives us the option to create our NFT and sell them directly on its Marketplace, so we can call it the “launchpad for art” on Solana.
They charge a 5% fee on primary sales and 2.5% on secondary sales.
We handle marketing on our own, since they don’t give us special promotion, though they often retweet us.

5+1. YOUR OWN MINT
You may not have considered this route, but running your own mint instead of using an external launchpad can be a very smart move if it fits your NFT collection.
To run your own mint, you’ll need programming skills to build the functionality and the “Mint Site”. You can also delegate it to a developer who can handle it for you.
If you’re looking for someone to build your mint, we recommend contacting SolKing. They’re our partners in Smithii and have worked with the biggest projects on Solana.
Some positive and negative factors to keep in mind are:
- You won’t have to pay a commission to a launchpad
- You’ll still have fixed costs (developers and candy machine fees)
- You won’t need to negotiate with launchpad or deal with rejections
- Security and guarantees may be weaker in some areas

FINAL TAKEAWAY
You now have all the details you need on the best-known and most reliable Solana launchpads. Keep in mind that launchpad only handles the mint. Once your NFT collection is minted, it will be available on the secondary market across different Marketplaces.
Here we explain cómo listar tu Colección en Magic Eden.
Now it’s time to go all in on growing your community and launching your NFT collection successfully (we show you how to do it for free in this course).
Thanks for reading, and above all, best of luck with your project!
