How to create a Liquidity Pool in PumpSwap: step by step
PumpSwap is one of the platforms that has grown the most since its launch at the end of March 2025. It is the DEX of meme coins created by Pump.Fun, so it is not surprising for its growing popularity. That is why you need to learn how to create a liquidity pool on PumpSwap, as there are few portals with so much traffic.
Before we start, there are two ways to have a Liquidity Pool in PumpSwap: by having an SLP token and adding an LP manually, or by scaling your token from Pump Fun. Either method is valid and we show you step by step how to do it, below.

Don't have a token yet? In this article we explain how to create a Solana token.
Creating Liquidity Pool in PumpSwap step by step
Creating a new liquidity pool in PumpSwap requires two things: an already created SLP token and funds to add liquidity (either in SOL, USDT or USDC). First, you need to go to the PumpSwap page, where we will start creating a liquidity pool with any token. From there, follow these steps:
- Click on "Create": this starts the process to create a liquidity pool in PumpSwap.
- Select the "Quote Token" or the pair with value: the one above is the one that will be used to exchange for your meme coin. Usually SOL, USDT or USDC is used.
- Click on "Select Token" and paste the Token Address: when you click on select token a window will pop up. Paste the Address and choose your meme coin.
- Choose the initial liquidity and how many tokens to allocate to the liquidity pool: as a general rule, between 75 and 80% of the total supply is usually allocated .
- Click on "Create Pool", accept the transaction on your wallet and you will be able to view your token in PumpSwap.
How much liquidity should I add to my PumpSwap Liquidity Pool?
The smaller the size of the liquidity pool at the beginning, the more volatile your meme coin will be. On the other hand, if you start a liquidity pool with 5-10 SOL, your coin will be more stable and more people will be interested in buying it.
There is no specific, minimum or recommended amount. What is certain is that the more liquidity, the more likely it is that your project will succeed.
We recommend using the PumpSwap Bundle to protect yourself from bot snipers. This way, you can immediately buy a certain amount of tokens when making the LP public.
Create a liquidity pool in PumpSwap without spending anything
There is another way to create a liquidity pool in PumpSwap without investing money for liquidity. Actually, it is one of the most attractive features of the parent platform: Pump.Fun The idea is basically the following:
- Create a meme coin in Pump Fun that has potential (you can use the Pump Fun Bundler for this).
- Attract a large number of investors to buy the currency.
- Achieve a market cap to "graduate" to PumpSwap (i.e. exceed the bonding curve of approximately 60 SOL ).
In this way, your meme coin will be transferred to PumpSwap and the liquidity obtained in the bonding curve will be the initial liquidity for your peer in the liquidity pool. Although it is simple to explain in three steps, in reality it is a process that very few projects complete.
You would need a strong community to support you, as well as the ability to advertise the token profitably. If you decide to go down this path, we recommend using the Pump.fun Market Maker bot by Smithii.
I already have a liquidity pool in PumpSwap, what's next?
Using either way, once you have created a liquidity pool, it's time to boost your pair using PumpSwap volume bot. This way you will be able to simulate an adequate volume of transactions so that other people can see the activity your meme coin generates and participate as well.
On the other hand, if you already have the token in one or more wallets, you can also plan a coordinatedbundle sell to make profit periodically. To do this, open the bundle sell, add the token address of your meme coin, include the private keys of the wallets that have the meme coin and click on Bundle Sell.
Conclusion
You have two ways to create a liquidity pool on PumpSwap: manually on its platform or by grading your Pump.Fun meme coin. Which way you want to go depends entirely on your intentions and goals, but either way will allow you to list your token on that DEX.
