How to Create a Solana Claim Site Without Coding

A cheaper alternative to running solana token airdrops is to build a claim site where users can check whether they qualify and claim if they are eligible.

Instead of sending tokens to a list of wallets and paying a fee for every wallet sent (with higher costs when users do not already hold that token), we host the tokens on a site so users can claim them themselves, as long as they qualify.

The idea is solid and cost-effective. The real question is where to build it and how to set up a proper claim site.

In this post, I’ll show you how to create your claim site without coding and how to configure it so the wallets you choose are eligible to claim.

What Is a Claim Site?

A claim site is a site that holds a set amount of tokens ready to be released to users who qualify to claim them. Users qualify when their wallets are included in the allowlist configured by the claim site creator.

The difference from an airdrop is, first, that the tokens are hosted on the site and users need to go claim them instead of simply waiting to receive them. Second, the person distributing the tokens does not pay the fees for running airdrop, where a fee is paid for each wallet receiving the airdrop.

With a claim site, the creator only pays the fees to create the site, nothing more, which makes it much cheaper.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Your Own Claim Site Without Coding

To create your own Claim Site without coding, on a site that gives users confidence, our Solana Claim Site tool (https://tools.smithii.io/claim-site/solana) can help.

  1. Token Address: This section lets you load the tokens users will be able to claim.
  2. Claim Site URL: This field lets you enter a unique URL that will serve as the claim site address. Users will visit this URL to claim their tokens.
  3. Quantity per Wallet: This sets how many tokens each wallet can claim.
  4. List of Wallet Addresses: This is where you enter the wallet addresses that are eligible to claim the tokens. You can add them manually one by one, as shown in the list, or upload them to the platform through a CSV file.
  5. Total Amount Claimable: Here you’ll see the total amount that can be claimed, based on the number of wallets and the number of tokens per wallet.
  6. Set Finish Date: This lets you set an end date for the claim site, defining the exact day and time until users can claim the tokens. If no end date is set, the default duration is 30 days.

Once you complete these fields, you can create the claim site. It will look something like this:

Users can connect their wallet and claim tokens before the 13/09/24 expiration date. The interface includes a Claim button and a progress bar showing the percentage already claimed.

You’ll get a custom URL that you can send to everyone eligible to claim within the set timeframe.

Benefits of Using a Claim Site Instead of Airdrops

The cost of running an airdrop is 0.00304 SOL per wallet, while creating a claim site costs 0.1 SOL. That means if you want to distribute tokens to more than 33 wallets, a claim site is the cheaper option.

Once you pass 33 wallets, running an airdrop costs more than having a claim site.

Distribution is also more efficient in both cost and management, especially if you have a large wallet list that keeps changing. You only need to set up the site and upload the wallet addresses allowed to claim, then users take care of claiming the tokens themselves. It is a more scalable option when you are managing a large base of users, since you do not have to worry about gas costs for every wallet.

How Do Users Claim Tokens on a Claim Site?

If a user is on the whitelist, all you need to do is copy the URL you created. It should look something like this:

If they are on the whitelist, send them the link through Telegram. Once they connect their wallet, they’ll be able to hit the claim button and receive the tokens assigned to them.

Why Use Smithii to Build a Airdrop Claim Site

Claim sites are one of the riskiest areas in Web3, since plenty of creators have launched scripts designed to drain liquidity from connected wallets.

Building it with Smithii helps your community trust that they are connecting their wallet to a secure site. Smithii is audited by CoinFabrik and backed by a team fully committed to shipping real digital solutions.

Claim Site vs. Airdrop: Which Option Fits Your Project Best?

A Claim Site is a strong option when you want to cut costs and keep control over token distribution, while a Airdrop may be a better fit if you want a smoother user experience and fast, low-friction token distribution. The right choice depends on your project’s scale, your budget, and the user experience you want to deliver.

Conclusion

Choosing a claim site instead of an airdrop cuts costs significantly, since users cover the fees when they claim their tokens. On top of that, hosting the tokens on Smithii gives users more confidence, especially since they are careful about connecting their wallet to just any website.
