“To the moon” literally means heading to the Moon. The phrase is extremely common in crypto and NFT communities. It refers to the idea that a token’s price is about to surge dramatically, going so high it’s basically heading to the moon.

It’s typically used by people in full FOMO mode who are trying to hype everyone else up.

You’ll also frequently hear that an asset is “mooning“, meaning it’s sitting at a sky-high price, as high as the moon itself.
