Web3 क्या है?
Web3 blockchain technology पर बने internet की अगली पीढ़ी को कहते हैं। इसका vision है कि users अपना data, assets और identity खुद control करें, न कि किसी centralized platform पर depend करें जो access को control करे और user information monetize करे।
Web1, Web2, और Web3
Web1 internet की शुरुआत थी: static pages, read-only content, बहुत कम creators। Web2 आज का model है जिसमें social platforms, apps और services interactive तो हैं, लेकिन centralized भी। Google, Meta और Twitter जैसी companies access, data और monetization control करती हैं। Web3 यह control users को देना चाहता है, decentralized protocols, crypto wallets और token-based ownership के ज़रिए।

practically देखें तो Web3 में DeFi protocols, NFTs, DAOs और वो सभी applications शामिल हैं जो किसी company के server की बजाय blockchain पर चलती हैं। Users, Web3 apps के साथ username-password की जगह crypto wallet से interact करते हैं। On-chain assets (tokens, NFTs, domain names) wallet holder के होते हैं, किसी ऐसे platform के नहीं जो चाहे तो उन्हें revoke कर सके।
Web3 की आलोचना
Critics का मानना है कि ज़्यादातर Web3 applications अभी भी centralized infrastructure (hosting, front-ends, oracles) पर ही टिकी हैं और decentralization असल में कम, theory में ज़्यादा है। कई Web3 projects में Token distribution early investors और founders के बीच बेहद concentrated है, जिससे user ownership के दावे कमज़ोर पड़ते हैं। यह term marketing में भी बिना किसी ठोस technical backing के freely इस्तेमाल होता है।

Web2 आज का internet है: centralized platforms आपका data रखते हैं और access control करते हैं। Web3 इसे blockchain-based protocols से replace करता है जहाँ users खुद अपनी keys, assets और identity control करते हैं।
हाँ। ज़्यादातर Web3 applications आपको username-password की जगह wallet के ज़रिए authenticate करती हैं। आपका wallet आपके on-chain assets रखता है और आपकी identity का काम करता है।
नहीं। Metaverse का मतलब है persistent virtual environments और social spaces। Web3 underlying infrastructure model की बात करता है। ये दोनों concepts कभी-कभी overlap करते हैं, लेकिन एक नहीं हैं।
