WHAT IS TESTNET SOLANA

Testnet is short for “Test Network“: a blockchain environment built specifically for testing purposes.

The testnet concept is very similar to Devnet: it’s a network that also mirrors the Solana mainnet (the primary Solana network).

The key difference is that testnet is geared more toward validators than developers. Any assets used on the testnet carry no value on the Solana mainnet.
