WHAT IS FUD IN NFT

FUD stands for “Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt”: a catch-all term for the negativity, doubt, and panic that can grip the crypto market.

The term is widely used in crypto whenever the market turns bearish on a particular asset, and it typically peaks during “Bear Markets”. For example, in December 2022 there was a huge amount of FUD in the NFT market for Solana.

It also comes up when certain users attack a project with NFT and no real basis for it. The community will usually say they’re spreading FUD about a project.

It’s the opposite concept to “FOMO”.
