A Wallet drainer does exactly what the name says: it drains your wallet. At its core, a wallet drainer is a type of scam where a smart contract tricks you into signing a transaction that moves all your funds and assets to another wallet. 

Put simply, it gets you to approve a transaction that completely empties your wallet. 

This type of scam is most common on free mint and degen mint projects, where there’s a lot of hype and urgency to mint fast.

Your wallet can also be drained through other methods, such as running infected software.
